Booking and scheduling
Most jobs can be booked a week or two out, though end of month weekends fill fastest since that is when a large share of Las Vegas leases turn over. If your date falls near the thirtieth, book as early as you can.
We can sometimes fit in a last minute job during the week, especially for labor only bookings, so it is worth asking even on short notice.
If your date is flexible, weekday mornings are both easier to book and cooler for the crew than a summer weekend.
Pricing and how jobs are sized
Jobs are priced by the hour and the number of movers, based on the size of the home and the amount of furniture. A short video walk through each room lets us size the crew accurately instead of guessing from a bedroom count alone.
Labor only jobs, where you provide the truck, are priced separately from full moves that include our own truck and driving.
What we can and cannot move
Furniture, boxes, appliances, and most household items are no problem. Hazardous materials like propane tanks, paint cans, and aerosols cannot travel on our truck, and we will help you sort those out before the day if needed.
Pianos and safes are handled on a case by case basis depending on weight and the route out of the building, so mention them when you book so we bring the right equipment.
Apartments and buildings
We regularly move in and out of apartment buildings with shared elevators, and we ask about elevator reservations and moving windows before the day so the crew does not lose time waiting on a booking that was never confirmed.
If your building requires a certificate of insurance from the mover, let us know early since some offices need it a few days in advance.
The Las Vegas heat
We plan around it on every job, from May through September especially. Early starts, closed truck doors between loads, and scheduled water breaks are standard, not something you have to request.
If you have items that are sensitive to heat, like electronics or houseplants, we recommend carrying them in your own air conditioned car rather than the truck.
